“Companies are forced to stretch and not stand in one place”
Eoltas UAB, a Lithuanian car parts trading company operating since 1993, completed its second Inteliam assessment. On the occasion of this renewal, we talked with Marijus Montvilas, Managing Director of Eoltas UAB, about their new score, their best practices and their vision of the future.
Having just completed your second assessment, how would you summarize your experience?
The whole process went smoothly enough. Last year we clarified everything with the help of Inteliam employees, so this year we only had to repeat the same and provide updated data.
Your current score surpasses last year's. What actions led to this improvement? Any best practices to share?
Every year we try to move forward, improve our processes, make our activities more efficient. This helps us to stay competitive and provide better service to our customers. To be honest, there is nothing special to share: just a simple and constant search for new opportunities; how to make the work easier for employees, how to provide a faster, better service to the client. And in order to do this, it is always important to see the company's processes as a whole, and to be able to measure them and compare them — for example, with last year. And we can see from the conclusions and suggestions that we already have some things in place, but maybe we didn't communicate properly.
What advice would you offer to a company considering Inteliam's solution?
Don't be afraid to start. It is not as difficult as it might seem at first glance.
What impact do you believe Inteliam is making in the industry?
I would say friendly competition and striving to become better, more efficient. Companies are forced to stretch and not stand in one place.
Marijus Montvilas, Managing Director, Eoltas UAB
What are your future plans following this renewal?
My plans, of course, are to improve our documentation and our processes, but also fix some gaps we found after the second evaluation.
